Miguel Angel “Mickey” Delgado, Sr.

Miguel Angel Delgado, Sr. 1944-2023. Miguel also known as "Mickey", age 79, of Columbus, Ohio born in Cuamo, Puerto Rico to Santiaga Ortiz-Delgado and Juan Delgado peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family in Russell Springs, Kentucky on April 23, 2023. Retiree from Kroger Bakery.

Preceded in death by his eldest son Miguel (Miguelito) Delgado, Jr., and grandson Joshua Miguel Delgado. Survived by his loving wife Carol Sue Delgado of 55 years, also survived by his son Robert Delgado (Kelly), daughters Angela Delgado-Cecil (Andrew) and Nichole Hodge as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and family in Puerto Rico. He battled dementia for several years.

To know him was to love him. He was extremely kind hearted and never met a stranger, everyone was his "friend". He will be most remembered for his love of flags, birds, animals, flashlights and family. He was the neighborhood "Dad" and a kid at heart to the end. Be assured that there is another special angel among us. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6- 8 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Shrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 E. Broad St., Coumbus, Ohio 43213.
