Michael F. Smith, 70, of Westerville passed away Saturday February 12, 2011 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Formerly of Gahanna, Ohio. Graduate of Gahanna High School where he was a member of the band from 1956-1959. U.S. Army veteran, S-2 & P10 Photographer, 82nd Engineer Bn (cmbt), 7th Corps Europe.
member of the American Legion and Motts Military Museum. Retired from Chicks Camera in Columbus. Survived by loving wife of 31 years, Lois E. Smith. Brothers; Jerry (Sandy) Smith of Columbus, Brad (JoAnn) Smith of Columbus and Ronald Smith of Georgia. Sister, Beverly Burke of Arizona. Numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday February 18, 2011 at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
