Michael Sivick, 86, of Westerville, OH, formerly of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away August 12, 2017. He was born on April 17, 1931 to the late Anthony and Mary (Vrabel) Sivick in Buttonwood, PA. He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1949, where he was involved in both football and wrestling. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1949-1953. In 1954, he married Rose Jarvis; they had four girls and were married 59 years before Rose passed away in 2013. Mike, a gifted auto mechanic, enjoyed spending time woodworking, home remodeling, fishing, vegetable and gardening, feeding his backyard birds, and trying his luck at the casino. He was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan, who enjoyed keeping up with both politics and the latest news on Facebook. Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Marcklinger, his younger brother, Stan, and longtime friends, Ron and Marcia Chmiel. He is survived by loving children Linda Sivick (Peter Furkey), Michelle (Steven) Nelson, and Jane (Jim) Kendall, and grandchildren Craig (Victoria) Marcklinger, Kalie Sivick, Kate (Patrick) Nelson-Hanley, Amanda, Laura, and Julie Nelson, Tori and Alex Warren, Celeste, Brandon, and Andrew Kendall, and much more extended family. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, September 2 at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Rev. Fr. Charles Cotton, celebrant, followed by a luncheon. Private interment. I just learned of Mike’s passing in speaking with his daughter Linda today about his insurance. I had no idea he had passed and wish I could have attended his memorial. Sweet man with a lot of good things to share and learn from. he will be missed but God picked up another angel when he brought Mike home. Blessings to all of you.

There are no words that can express how sad we are to hear that Uncle Mike passed. He definitely has some great company up there! We will miss him forever. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to ease your burden. We love you all so very much!

We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was such a nice man. We visited your parents home in Cheektowaga a few times when Susie was in town. I’ll always remember what a great smile and laugh he had. Always a very happy man! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time!
