SBROCHI

Michael Joseph Sbrochi, age 79, of Westerville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 9, 2013. He was born August 26, 1933 in Mingo Junction, Ohio to Phillip and Jenny Sbrochi. He married Anna Mae LaCorte on October 17, 1959. Graduate of Linden McKinley High School in 1951 where he was class president, and The Ohio State University in 1955. Mr. Sbrochi worked for General Motors, but spent the majority of his career working as an Intermal Auditor at OSU Hospitals. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and where he focused the majority of his time.When he was younger, Michael enjoyed taking the family to Myrtle Beach. As the family aged and grew to include spouses and grandchildren, trips changed first to Hilton Head and then to Harbor Springs, Michigan. In the last 2 decades of his life, Michael and Ann made many trips outside the country, but he spent considerable time exploring Italy and re-connecting with cousins, Antoinette, Vito and Maria whom he had met when he was in the military. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann, children, Lisa McCurdy and John Sbrochi (Dennis); grandson, Luke McCurdy; siblings Fausto and Rose; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vito and Tony, and sister, Mary. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 5-8 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Vinny McKiernan, celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ross Heart Hospital at O.S.U..
