Dear Ryan Family,
I just learned of Mike’s passing. My sincerest condolences! While I never met Mike face-to-face, we talked several times a year, over many years, for long hours in relation to Community Health Charities work with NY SEFA! He was always a bright light even during the dimmest of days in our campaign! I most enjoyed that laugh of his!!
Know that the NY SEFA family sends their thoughts and condolences!

I am so sorry for your loss. Mike and I worked together only over the telephone through the development of the Service Center and affiliate mergers. He was always charming and helpful and understood what an intense time it was. You must be very proud of what a giving and helpful person he was and with such a remarkable laugh! I hope you find some peace at this time. Sincerely, Lorna Sager, a one time employee of Community Health Charities

Such a lovely, lovely man… I extend my deepest sympathies to you all. During team meetings, I’d look forward to Mike’s wry one-liners usually followed by THAT LAUGH. I grin at the memory. Know that Mike was admired and loved by many, especially his CHC colleagues. I am honored to have known him. Obviously I’m not alone.

I was so deeply saddened by the news of Mike’s passing. Mike was one the sweetest people I’ve ever worked with. As others have remarked, he had a great sense of humor and wit that would always get me to laugh while he helped me find solutions. He was my CHC go-to guy and he never let me down. I’ll be lost without him. Even though we never had a chance to meet face to face, he was a friend. The world is a much poorer place now. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Love and strength to your entire family.

As sad as I am that Mike’s left us, I have so many happy memories of fun times with him during our days at Ohio State. I’ll never forget that laugh.
I pray that everyone who knew and loved him will quickly find peace…

To The Ryan Family, I am deeply saddened, and sorry to hear about your loss. We just received a message from CHC, letting us know that Mike had passed away. I have known Mike for approx. 25 years; I met him way back when he served as the Executive Director of the NVHA’s Ohio Office. And, we continued working together on a grander scale when he was hired by the CHC’s national office as our Customer Solutions application liaison. Throughout the years, Mike has help our Foundation raise much needed dollars for Diabetes Research worldwide. Additionally, he helped our Foundation to increase our visibility and awareness within the Federal government and military communities. Mike was a true professional, who had such a great personality. Mike could always make me smile, even during application season when things were the most hectic! I will miss working with him – but I feel so blessed to have known and worked with him for so many years. On behalf of myself and everyone at JDRF International – we extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolence to your family.
