Michael E. Big Mike/Shundy Schundelmier, aged 51, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022 in his home. He was an avid poker player and member of AMVETS, The Moose, and The Eagles. His favorite thing in his life was to spend time with his family and friends, and to make people smile, he never met a stranger. He was most proud of fighting and beating Leukemia after a stem cell transplant in 2010. Survived by his wife and soul mate of over 23 years, Natalie Schundelmier; son, John (Jessica) Coffing; daughters, Jordan (Johnathon) Finney and Emily Schundelmier; granddaughters, Juliet and Isabella Finney and Carmen Coffing; brother, John M. Conti Preceded in death his parents Benny and Shirley Schundelmier; and sister, Kimber Lee. Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery.

Absolutely my favorite guy from the poker scene. You even got me to Uber which I did ft the last few years. Thanks for the few talks we had about life and the great advice you’d give me cause I’d never take money from you when you needed a ride. We will miss Big Mike. He was one of the reasons we had so much fun playing poker at Amvets. We've never seen Mike angry at anyone. He was a joy to know. Rest easy in the arms of God, Big Mike.
