Maynard Warner Dils, age 82 went to be with the Lord September 21, 2012 while at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville Ohio. Maynard was born to Earl and Irene Dils on April 30, 1930 in Miamisburg Ohio. He started his career as a dairy farmer , served in the Air Force during the Korean War, an accountant for the State, Park Manager for Hueston Woods, City Manager for Eaton OH, Sidney NE, retired from City of Westerville. Preceded in death by his sister, Betty Horne; brothers, Robert and Roger; brother-in-law, Jerry Horne and sister-in-law, Nedra Dils. Survived by his loving wife Barbara of 57 years; sons, Ted and Dennis (Cindy); daughter, Kathy Hixon (Troy); 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Dils and other relatives, loved ones, and friends. Maynard was a devoted Christian husband , father, and a loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed! Visitation is Saturday September 29, 2012 from 9-11am with the funeral service at 11am at the First Baptist Church of Sunbury, 12259 N. Old 3C Hwy Sunbury, OH 43074. Pastor Dan Brown officiating.
