THOMPSON
Mary J. Thompson, age 80, of Westerville, passed away on Friday April 8, 2011 at the New Albany Gardens and
Care Center. Born June 5, 1930 to the late Clarence and Thirza Piper. Retired from Otterbein College and loved cooking, crocheting, gardening and bird watching. Preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Jim; son Randy; brothers Lee Piper and Raymond piper; sister Marie Rhodeback; sister-in-law Carol Piper; and brothers-in-law Paul Rodeback and Rolland Pestel. Survived by daughter JoAnn(Mike) Cooper; brothers Gene (Rachel) Piper, Merle (Bobbie) Piper, Carl Piper; sister Marjorie Pestel; sister-in-laws Mary Lou Piper and Marilyn Piper. Also surviving are two grandchldren, seven great grantchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, Monday 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. where service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 12, 2011. Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Interment Fancher Cemetery.

Thank you so much for sharing your mom with everyone in the Activity Department at NACC. She was so special to all of us. Always smiling and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She will be missed so much by us and the other residents who grew to love her.
