Mary Pat Blake - Jan 15, 2014
To Mary’s Family, I was very saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. Her and I were best little girlfriend’s growing up on West Broadway in Gardner. We rode the bus together to Sacred Heart and couldn’t wait to get home to play with our Barbie Doll’s. My father passed away suddenly in 1966 and we moved to Harvard Il where my mom’s family was. I spent the night numerous times at the Deveikis house, Toini was like my second mom. The last time I saw Mary had to of been on one of my trips to Gardner to see family which was about 30 years ago. I have a daughter about the same age as Leanna so we got together to visit and for the girls to play (with our Barbie’s) I have gone to Gardner numerous times to visit my sister but never knew how to find Mary. Our Blake family plot at the cemetery is only a few feet away from the Deveikis’s so when I’m there for a visit I always go over and say a prayer. I just wanted to give Mary’s family my sympathy and to let you know she was such a big part of my childhood.
With Sympathy and Prayers, Mary Pat Blake
