Mary Margaret Elizabeth Kadel
Beloved matriarch of the family, passed away peacefully 17 days before her 106th birthday. She was born on April 9th, 1919 in Springfield, Ohio to George H Parker and Margaret Finn Parker.
Mary Margaret lived a life full of love, kindness and devotion to her family. She married Tras Kadel on July 25 th , 1939 and they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was known for her homemade noodles and coconut cream pie, which everyone in the family looked forward to when traveling to Springfield. In her 50s she surprised us all by getting her drivers license! Grandma Kadel was
always game to be silly, whether that was to dye her hair hot pink for a gender reveal or wear silly fake teeth, in hopes to gain a laugh from her family. She loved playing cards with family and enjoyed drinking a high ball while doing so. Her greatest joys were her daughters, Bonnie Galloway and Barbie Kadel. Her warmth and wisdom were a guiding light to those around her and her legacy of love will live on through her family. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Galloway, her grandchildren Kim and Steve Nieto, Lori and Ralph Restadius, Michael and Stacey Galloway, her great-grandchildren Erin and Cameron McNeil (Brynlee, Rowan and Lainey), Kristin and Adam Dombroff (Mckenna), Evan and Whitney Nieto (Ava and Ella), Ashlee and Rich Princler (Kate & Koa), Connor and Kristine Restadius (Bobby), Craig and Brianne Galloway (Bodhi and Tate) Aimee and Nicholas Kraft (Reese and Sloane), Kimberlee & Darren Leis (Dax, Decker and Drew) Mackenzie Galloway-Cole and Joshua Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tras Kadel, her daughter, Barbie Kadel, her brother, Bob Parker, her son-in-law, Ernest Galloway and her great-granddaughter Megan Galloway-Cole.
A viewing will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025 at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081 from 5-7 pm where a funeral service will be held on Friday April 4, 2025 at 10:30 am.. Burial will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield, Ohio at 2 pm, and all are welcome to join in celebrating her beautiful life.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.

I knew the Kadels through working with Barbie at TAC Industries. Mr and Mrs Kadel were dear to my heart, such dedicated parents. What a long life she lived, I’m sure a lot of that had to do with her supportive family. My condolences to you . Kristan Payton
