Mary Elena Yannon

Mary Elena Yannon, age 97, of Westerville, formerly of Steubenville, OH, passed away March 5, 2023. Retired from State of Ohio Bureau of Employment Services as manager of Unemployment Division after 31 years service, 20 years as manager. Survived by her daughters, Vicki (Rick) Petrella and Joyce (John) Starr; grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Stulginsky, Nicholas (Maureen) Petrella and Jonathan (Christina) Bednarek; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Hugo "Duke: Yannon, daughter, Nancy Yannon and sisters, Norma Frederico, Jeannette Tamburro and Virginia Olszewski. Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville Thursday 4-7 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
