Mary Beth McCrate

Mary Beth McCrate, 58, born April 9, 1967, joined her father James M McCrate, niece Annie  Faye McCrate, cousin Christine Perkins, all of her grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and friends for a heavenly birthday celebration on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. She went peacefully in her sleep with her mother, Mary Eleanor McCrate and sister, Amy Sue McCrate at her side.  Before she went, she enjoyed a family birthday party on Sunday. She was also celebrated by brothers Kevin (Kim) McCrate, Scott (Heidi) McCrate, Sean (Maura) McCrate and sisters Jennifer (Tracy) Johnson, and Maureen (Mark) Guckeyson, along with 12 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews, all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends, including her very dear friend of over 25 years, Daniel J Hughes.
Dan and Mary Beth worked together at ARC Industries North for many years after she graduated from Northland High School in 1988. She retired in 2016 to focus on her battle with Breast Cancer.
Mary Beth loved spending time with family, her dogs, watching THE Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns,  Columbus Blue Jackets and the Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed going to movies, out to eat, and traveling. She went on a cruise, traveled to Lourdes, France (thanks to Charles Mifsud and the kindness of the Columbus chapter of the Order of Malta) and, in recent years, spent time at Myrtle Beach.
We will dearly miss her fantastic sense of humor, her smile, her reminders to take out the trash, get the mail, and discard pop cans in the recycling bin! But we are confident that she is now running around heaven pain free, listening to beautiful choirs of angels, and is being comforted in the loving arms of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary.
Visitation will be hosted at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081 on Tuesday, April 15 th from 5pm to 8pm ET. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N. State St. Westerville OH 43082 starting at 10:30am ET on Wednesday, April 16 th , followed by the Rite of Christian Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
