HANCE
Martha Merwine Hance of Lowell, Oregon died on Christmas Day. Martha was
born on August 5, 1924 to Norman and Leah Campbell Merwine who preceded her in death as well as her son Erich. Graduate of Westerville High School, class of 1942 and The Ohio State University. She taught school in Chillicothe and Sunbury. Martha also worked as a Junior Engineer at Curtis Wright Aircraft Co.
and the Drafting Department at Batelle. She married Harry T. Hance, Jr. at
Church of the Master, Westerville on June 14, 1947. Survived by her husband,
Harry; son Geoffrey of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Christina, Dorsett and Madora Hance; sister, Ellen Weatherly of Roswell, GA. Martha and Harry loved living in a beautiful spot “up the hill” in Oregon. They enjoyed the great out-of-doors and hiking the trails of Oregon. Memorial service will be held on
January 5, 2010 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Eugene, Oregon. Private graveside service will be held at Otterbein Cemetery, Westerville. Arrangements
