Marlene Vera Meade, age 87, passed away on May 2, 2024, to be joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, William Henry Meade. Born on November 2, 1936, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, she leaves behind her children Marcia (Richard) Hurst, Mark Meade (Andres Castillo), and Marla (Carl) Weiss, who will forever remember her. Marlene's six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren brought happiness to her life. She had a passion for bridge, Hallmark movies, and shopping at Kohls. She could also be seen at her favorite restaurant, Lucky House, enjoying War Su Gai. Marlene never missed a birthday, ensuring that each loved one received a heartfelt card or call to mark their special day. Marlene's love for the Buckeyes was unwavering, and she could be found cheering them on every Saturday during the football season. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and spent time with her. Rest in peace, dear Marlene, knowing that you are forever loved and deeply missed. Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday, May 9th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by service at 12 p.m., Pastor Wayne Booth, officiating. Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens.

Condolences

Linda Rano-Jonard - May 15, 2024

Thinking of you all as you mourn the loss of your beloved mother. I remember her ( and your dad) as kind, friendly and pillars of the community. May you treasure your memories. xo

Drumm, Mrs. Charles (Dana) - May 15, 2024

Great lady, I was fortunate to know. She and Chic (Charley) were childhood friends that lasted the decades - many good memories. Rest with Bill.

Richard Doll - May 5, 2024

I was very saddened to learn about the death of Marlene. She loved her family and will be greatly missed. I knew her as the mother of my former students; but also, as the wife, companion and supporter of her husband. I cherish those memories of Bill and Marlene with the Westerville Kiwanis Club. My sincerest condolences to Marlene's family and close friends.
