Marilyn Martha Kuhlmann, age 89, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Westerville, Ohio passed away on May 6, 2022 after a 20-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born May 11, 1932 in Zanesville, Ohio to C. Arthur and R. Kathryn (Patch) Wilson. Upon graduation from Belleville High School in Belleville, New Jersey she attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and earned a B.S. in Chemistry. She also received a Master of Education from The Ohio State University. She taught Jr High and High School Biology and Chemistry for 30 years and retired from Hilliard High School in Hilliard, Ohio in 1997. Marilyn was involved in her church teaching Sunday School and Bible School and a member of the quilt group. She also attended Bible Study Fellowship. Many hours were spent sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren, making costumes, knitting, quilting and various other creative projects. She was preceded in death by her brother C. Arthur Wilson Jr. She is survived by her husband (67 years) Hermann J. Kuhlmann: four children, Kathryn (Joseph) Bishop of Portland, OR, David (Tamara) Kuhlmann of Hilton Head Island, SC, Timothy (Leslie) Kuhlmann of Verona, NJ, and Amy (Martin) Appold of Columbia, MO; nine grandchildren, Benjamin Bishop, Jonathan Bishop, Abigail (Bishop) McCann, Elise (Kuhlmann) Anderson, Mallory (Kuhlmann) Kuchem, Maegan Kuhlmann, Ian Kuhlmann, Lillian Appold, Stefan Appold, 6 great grandchildren, her brother, John Paul Wilson and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Friday May 13th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 14th at 10:30 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church 2480 West Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus, OH with visitation before the service from 9:30-10:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Parkinson's Disease Association http://apdaparkinson.org/
