HILLEGAS

Margaret A. “Mickey” Hillegas, age 93, of Westerville, OH passed away July 28, 2016 at Parkside Senior Living Village. Formerly employed by Kilgore, LK Baker Co. and Ohio Die Casting of Columbus. Founded Hillmar Farms with her husband in mid 1960’s and were foster parents for 17 children in Delaware County. Member of American Legion Young-Budd Auxillary Post 171, former member of Pythian Sisters and attended Genoa Baptist Church. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Harold “Sonny” Evans; grandchildren, Kim (Mark) Mann and Tom (Susie) Evans, all of Westerville; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Becca Mann, Ashley and Alex Evans; great-great grandson, Michelangelo (Mikey) Moore; brother, Chuck DeConnick of Columbus; close friend, Carl “Butch” Ritter; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Milton S. Hillegas, sister, Isabelle “Izzy” Williams, and brother, Leo DeConnick. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 4-8 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Wayne Booth, officiating. Interment Tussic Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “The Glen” at Parkside Senior Living Community.
