Margaret “Marge” Burik, age 79, of Westerville passed away March 17, 2017. She was born April 13, 1937. Marge was a graduate of St Benedict in Cambridge and graduated as a registered nurse from Good Samaritan in Zanesville. She worked for years at Lutheran Senior City in Columbus and in home health care. Marge had a gentle, sweet spirit and especially enjoyed traveling with her husband and family time. Preceded in death by her parents, Steve A. Motil, Sr. and Catherine (Fotta) Motil; brothers, Kenneth Motil and Steve Motil Jr.; infant sister Joanne Motil. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Edward Burik; her children, Linda (Tom) Vorisek, Mike (Lesley) Burik and Christine (Paul) Stamm; her grandchildren, Andrea Sarver, Lauren, Erin and Caroline Vorisek, and Andrew Burik, her great grandson Kyle Rice; her siblings, Robert (Sue) Motil, Cathy (Tom) Welch, Joseph (Anita) Motil and Cheryl (Ronnie) Carr; her sister-in-laws, Pam Motil and Therese Burik; many nieces and nephews; and her special care givers, Kristine, Sheri, Marta and Sherie. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 4-7 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 N.State Street, Westerville, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. David E. Gwinner, celebrant. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Byesville, OH. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
