Condolences

Jerry Hoffman - Apr 18, 2015

While looking to find the information about another friend who had passed away, I happened to see that your wife, Linda, had passed away, Rev. Ellsworth. I was so sorry to hear this news, as I know she will be sorely missed by you and all your family. She had been such a faithful participant in all the activities at Central College Church for SO many years and was beloved by so many, as are you. Because of her strong faith, we do know she is now with her Lord and that someday you will be together again. In the meantime, I know you take great joy in knowing this wonderful assurance. BUT, I know first hand that there is an empty spot where your dear wife was not not long ago. Like I have learned to do over the past seven years, I pray that you will live life by ALL the blessings in your life – and memories of Linda are surely great blessings in your life. May our dear Lord and Saviour give you peace and comfort.
Jerry Hoffman – former member of Central College Presbyterian Church.

Dear Ones, With so many treasured memories of my precious friend Linda, worshiping, studying God’s word, praying, and working together on women’s ministry mission projects. She was the best encourager and support for her entire family and always made time to bless her friends and honor their times of celebration or offer comfort, as she often shared many wonderful confections and especially her much desired Millionare Scottish Shortbread. She lived the theme of her Bethel Bible class..Blessed to be a Blessing! With so much love, knowing she is gracing Jesus with her presence now.. until we meet again. Continued prayer cover for each of you.

Edmund and Ann Koch - Apr 6, 2015

Dear Rev. Ellsworth and family,
We have learned of Linda’s passing so recently. By some odd coincidence, we were thinking of you and Linda this past week end while recalling Easter celebrations at Central College. Our family grew in much love and strength while members at Central College, and our children were 2 of those counted as students over the years with Linda at the pre school. While that was her special interest, we all know that she was a warm and loving to everyone in our church family and from her, we received many assuring words. Love and appreciation accompany our memories of those years during the ’70’s. Our faith grew at Central College and has carried us continually over the years.
And now, we are again remembering God’s promises that help us understand that Linda is certainly in the company of many who have loved God continually. We send our love and deep sympathies to you all at this time.
Ann and Ed Koch, Nixa, Mo.

Ed Goldsmith - Apr 6, 2015

Cheryl Hill - Apr 6, 2015

Dear Rev, Pam, Penny, Jennifer, Peter and families,
God certainly gained a beautiful, graceful, loving, faithful angel yesterday. Linda was indeed a very special lady to many of us, but will forever hold a special place in my heard.
As a child growing up in Central College Church, I remember fondly the hugs Linda had waiting for me each Sunday, or anytime we happened to cross each others paths while at the church.
Her kind, caring words of praise and encouragement she offered me when I would play my clarinet during worship from a young age through adulthood meant the world to me.
I know you all take heart in knowing that she is with her loving Lord and Savior free from pain and suffering and at peace.
We love the Ellsworth family and will be praying for all of you through this difficult time.
Blessings and Love,
Cheryl Freeman Hill and family
