SHAW
Lester Shaw, age 82, of Johnstown, OH. Passed away at Mt. Carmel East on January 15, 2014. Lester was born July 11, 1931 in Westerville Ohio. He was owner/operator of Shaw Production Foundry. Lester enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and his family. In his earlier years, Lester built and raced cars at Powell Speedway and other locations in Ohio. Lester is survived by one son, David (Kathryn Quina) Miller of Hope, RI, and two daughters, Rebecca (Richard Stauch) Revercomb of Chatham, OH and Kathleen Shaw of Johnstown. He leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Jessica (Paul) Hardesty, Laila L. Miller and Emily Revercomb, and one great-granddaughter, Eliza-Jayne Hardesty, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Lester Shaw, his mother Ethel Perry Shaw and his sister Bernadine Shaw Herritt. He lost his wife of 35 years, Mary Davison Miller Shaw in 1992. Friends may call at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 11 a.m.-12 noon followed by a service at 12 noon, Pastor Steve Rich, officiating. Interment will be at Burnside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Suite 210, Columbus, OH 43229.

So many wonderful memories of Les and Mary…I could write a book….when he use to call me he would say, is this 614 ??? and I laughted every time…He and Mary came into town to the Hotel where I worked for lunch…camping, many times spent at the Davisons…we continued to keep in touch so I will miss him….He is with Jesus now so I know he is out of pain and happy…..

We are so sorry to hear of Jr,s passing away.When I was a teen ager I used to go see him race and I still have a picture of his car.Back in the 1950s I camped with him and Mary.Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
