Lena Delora (Troiano) DeAngelo, was born in Newark, Ohio, on September 15,1930 to Joseph Troiano and Angelina (Capalino) Troiano and passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Janice, on June 12, 2025.

Lena graduated from St. Francis DeSales in Newark, Ohio in 1948. She married her beloved husband, Tony, in St Francis DeSales Church on January 29, 1949. She started her first job at 12 years old in 1942, at Burke-Golf in Newark, folding army capes for WWII men fighting overseas, a job she was proud to share with everyone she knew. Lena was a hard-working woman, holding many jobs over the years, retiring in 1997. Her greatest job was after retirement, caring for her great granddaughters, Kayelyn and Olivia, and her mother Angelina up until her mother passed in 2001.

Once a year, on August 15th, Lena and Tony would go to The Shrine in Carey, Ohio where they would meet with family. Lena followed this tradition from five years old until she was unable. Lena and Tony loved going to Milano's Steak House on Westerville Road every Friday and Saturday evening for dinner, live music, dancing, and meeting friends. She looked forward to her yearly trip to Vegas with her greatest joys, her family, and appreciated every minute she got to spend with each of them. Lena will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family, her sense of humor, and her smile.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Anthony DeAngelo, her parents, her sister Rose Cordetti, her son in law, Dean Slagle, and her step grandson, Jason Slagle. She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Archie) Snyder and Brenda Slagle (Rich McCann); granddaughter, Raelena (Doug) Hosey; great granddaughters, Kayelyn Robinson (Sam Payne), Olivia (Sam) Funston, and Ava Robinson; step granddaughter, Christie Robinson; step great grandchildren, Drew (Brittany) Robinson and Jordan Marie Robinson, Taylor (Andrew) Ray and Brooklynn Hosey; step great great grandchild, Juniper; many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.

Friends may call at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Rd, Westerville, Ohio 43081 on Friday, June 20th from 9-11 a.m. Service will be held Friday, June 20th at Our Mother's of Sorrows Church at St. Joseph Cemetery at 12 noon. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio. Lena will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Tony, and her mother, Angelina. The world feels a little quieter without her laughter.
