Lawrence E. Kress, 88, of Westerville, passed away Friday February 12, 2010 at Country View of Sunbury. Born in Homer City, PA, April 5, 1921 to Elizabeth & Edward Kress who preceded in death; also 2 brothers, 1 sister and a great grand-daughter. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Living Hope Free Methodist Church for over 60 years. He was also a life member of Young-Budd Post # 171 American Legion in Westerville and life member of N.R.A.. Member of Blendon and Genoa Senior Centers and the Golden Heirs Living Hope FMC and Blendonnaires Blue Grass Band. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Catherine. Son, Robert of Columbus; daughter Susan (David) Dorsch of Westerville. granddaughter, Tanya (Kress) Corbett of Columbus; grandson Jason (Karen) Bryant of Columbus and great grandchildren Gwendolyn and Thomas Bryant of Columbus. Sister, Audrey Pierce of Missouri. Numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, Sunday 4-7 p.m. where service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday February 15, 2010. Pastor Kermit Welty officiating.
