It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Fredrick Pritchard on October 4, 2024 at his home in Westerville, Ohio. He was 59 years old.
Fred, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on May 15, 1965 in Columbus Ohio to J. Roger and Rosemary Pritchard. Fred resided in Westerville, Ohio where he attended Westerville South High School and played football for the Wildcats. Fred later pursued his passion for computer programming at Columbus State Community College where he achieved his degree in Computer Programming.
After graduating from college Fred started his IT career working for World Book Financial Services, World Book Consulting Group, and COMMON A Users Group.
Fred was a beloved part of the COMMON family for nearly three decades, having served as the company's IT Manager. He was a cornerstone of the team, and his contributions to the COMMON community are immeasurable. He will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication, deep knowledge, kind demeanor and warm heart. He was loved by colleagues, volunteers, members, and conference attendees alike. His smile, positive attitude and infectious laughter drew people to him, and his heart and bright spirit is what befriended everyone. He leaves behind an indelible mark on COMMON and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Despite a busy schedule Fred always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Fred was always there for his siblings and friends whenever they needed him. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face.
In his free time. Fred enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, being a foodie, hunting and fishing, cheering on THE Ohio State University Buckeyes, OHIO all the way, and many other activities. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experiences with others.
Fred is survived by his mother Rosemary (Voll) Pritchard, his siblings Kenneth (Kate) Pritchard and Kyri-Anna (Kyle) Thogmartin, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held on October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. EST, at The Church of Messiah, 51 N State Street, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Live Stream at:
