BAKER
Lawrence D. Baker, 84, of New Albany, passed away October 29, 2012. He was a member of the New Albany Lions Club for over 50 years serving in various capacities. Lawrence retired from the Defense Supply Center (DSCC) after 25 years service. He was also a farmer and at one time farmed more than 300 acres in the Franklin County area. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Joan Baker; two daughters, Maribeth (Gail) Jordan and Margie Lawson (Jimmy Baldrick); three grandchildren, Phillip Kost (Alisha Homer), Carla and Patrick Lawson; brother, Harold (Betty) Baker; sister-in-law, Linda Baker; two step-grandchildren, Chrissy (John) Danflous and Nikki (Todd) Tuller and three step-great grandchldren, Jordan and Dean Danflous and Abbi Tuller. He is also survived by former sons-in-law; Drew Kost and Tom Lawson and numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrence is preceded in death by sisters; Jessie (John) Vince and Freida Eberhardt, brothers; Charles (Dorothy) Eberhardt, Oliver (Katie) Baker, Jack (Edna) Baker and Art Baker and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the MICU and Palliative/Hospice staff at Mt. Carmel Hospital East for their very compassionate care. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, 2-5 p.m. Sunday where service will be held 10 a.m. Monday November 5, 2012. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany.
