Laura Agnes (Lenhart) Fisher, age 88, of Worthington Christian Village, formerly of Westerville. March 10, 2014 after a brief illness. Registered Nurse formerly employed by Grant Hospital, The Ohio State University Hospitals and retired from Harding Hospital after 24 years service. Charter member of Westerville RN Club, longtime member of Westerville Garden Club, member of Wally Byam Caravan Club, proud member of American Legion, active member of Belle Center High School Alumni Assn. and Lima Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni, charter member of Westerville Christian Church, member of Worthington Christian Church and former member of Linden Church of Christ. Survived by her children, Jane A. (Pete) Cochren of Westerville, Paul S. Fisher (Donna Wilder) of New Market, MD and David D. (Stacy) Fisher of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Greg (Elisha) Volp, Jeanna Volp, Craig Cochren, Chris Cochren, Jake Fisher, Ben Fisher, Andrea Fisher and Daniel Fisher; great-grandchildren, Hannah Volp, Lily Volp and Case Cochren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dwight L. Fisher, parents, Jacob and Ersa (Crothers) Lenhart, brothers, Virgil, Lauren, Carl, Frank and Fred Lenhart, sisters, Nora Carnes, Dorothy Sullivan and Mary Hastings. Laura loved gardening, camping and traveling, but most of all her family and many, many friends. Unmeasurable gratitude to all of the staff, residents and volunteers at Worthington Christian Village for their friendship and care. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.. Service will be held at Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High Street, Columbus, OH, Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Lee Cox and Mark Stier, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. Memorial donations to Worthington Christian Church or Worthington Christian Village.
God gives us each a special gift. Laura’s was her bright animated smile delivering a warm, often humorous greeting. Our prayer is that your memory of our mother is one of those moments when she brightened your day and lifted your spirit.

So sorry to read about your loss. Agnes was a wonderful member of our Westerville Garden Club. She was a joy to work with and I worked with her on several of our committees.

My sympathy tp all who loved Laura, love the picture of her beautiful smile. I was always so happy whenever I got to see her, she always made you feel like you were special. She was the special one. I know she is visiting with her husband and her many friends & family God bless all of you as Laura has blessed all who knew her.
