Larry was a dedicated man of God and loved his Genoa Baptist Church. He worked for 43 years as a machine assembler for Nourse Dairy Systems. The love of his life was music, followed by his love of hunting and fishing. He did his own karaoke shows for many years and sang from age 16 to 50. He loved most music - especially country, rock and roll and bluegrass. Sang a lot of John Anderson songs. Loved to Jam with friends playing bluegrass. Avid hunter and fisherman. Loved the outdoors and all the nature that went with it. He loved to tinker with things and use his hands to build things.. Larry touched so many lives over the years of his career with his music. His karaoke fans lovingly called him Larry Whooo--. The smile and twinkle in his eyes that always left their mark. He loved to entertain people and make them happy. His leaving has left a hole in many hearts that can never be filled and he leaves behind a spirit that will live on forever. The songs Larry would sing to Marlene and the winks he gave --cherished forever. The culminative of love is grief. And yet we love despite the inevitable, we open our hearts to it. To grieve deeply is to have loved fully. Those we love didn't go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 30th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio where service will be held Thursday October 31st at 11:00 a.m. with Rev, Wayne Booth officiating. Interment at Mifflin Cemetery.

My heart is full of sadness, my big brother has left us to go home to be with my mom and dad. He will be so missed, his smile, his humor, the way he loved all his family but most of all the way he loved his boys Larry Jr and Shane, his grandchildren, nieces and nephew, I spent many crazy nights out at the bars with him playing in his bands and once in a blue moon I would try to sing with him thinking that we could be this awesome brother sister duo band LOL I couldn’t sing, I wasn’t terribly bad I was just to busy running around with girlfriends and getting into mischief. The moral of this story is he’s going to be truly missed. I love you big brother. I will carry our memories in my heart forever. I also speak for my little brother Kenny, my little sister Jo and all his other extended family members and friends.

I am so sorry for the loss of Larry. He was one of my church buddies at Genoa Baptist Church, and I always treasured that wonderful smile of his! I know there is comfort in the fact that he is with his Lord and Savior, yet he will be greatly missed.

Dearest Marlene, Words are so inadequate in the loss of a loved one. Where does one begin? My heart is heavy but my spirit can rejoice knowing that Larry had accepted Jesus Christ As his personal savior. That initial process began when he met you and SO in that alone I can rejoice. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he always Shine his face upon you and give you his peace. May the Lord carry you through the difficult moments and moment by moment, restore your broken heart, and cause your spirit to soar In the midst of your loss. I love you and bless you and offer my most sincere condolences.
