Kathleen "Kathie" Marie (McMillan) Kaiser, age 76, of Westerville, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Kathie was born on March 29, 1947, in Boulder, Colorado to Paul and Ruth McMillan who preceded her in death, as well as her Mother-in-law, Josephine Kaiser; Father-in-law, Paul Kaiser and Sister-in-law, Rosanne McMillan.
When Kathie was in grade school, her family relocated to Anaheim, California where she graduated from Cornelia Connelly High School. Shortly after graduating, she met and married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Kaiser. They raised three children Annette, Sharon, and Matthew.
Kathie was a wonderful homemaker for many years, and as her children grew older, she went to work for Chase and Delaware County Banks. She was always a friendly face at the counter so much so that clients would stay just to chat with her.
Kathie was the first born of nine children. She was not the typical first born as she didn't have a bossy bone in her body. She never wanted to inconvenience anyone. Even in her final days she wanted to make "you" happy because this simply made her happy.
Family was the center of Kathie's world. She meticulously kept the family genealogy to ensure none of the family was forgotten. She loved her grandchildren and was blessed to know that her first great grandchild was on the way.
Kathie and Chuck spent many of their retirement years traveling in their motorhome. She was the navigator and photographer of their adventures and loved to share their memories upon returning home.
Kathie is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Kaiser; her three children, Annette (Larry) Schirtzinger, Sharon (Jeffrey) Nelson, and Matthew Kaiser. Her siblings, Dan (Marlene) McMillan, Jim (Margie) McMillan, Bob (Betty) McMillan, Pam Brusuelas, John McMillan, Colleen (Dirk) Wilder, Maryanne (Mike) Martinez, and Jeanne (Phil) Termath. Grandchildren, Gerrod (Lauren) Schirtzinger, Joshua Schirtzinger, Christina (Trevor) Joellenbeck, Jessa Nelson, and Dallas Nelson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann in Sunbury Ohio on January 6, 2024, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends and family at the church beginning at 10:00am.
A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the mass to celebrate Kathie's life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to The James Cancer Research Hospital, Hospice of Central Ohio, or Tunnel to Towers.
Condolences

I am SO sorry for your loss! Kathie was the assistant manager for Bank One in Sunbury when I started there in May, 1995. She was a great mentor to me, and was very patient with me, and everyone else she came in contact with. One memory that I have is when we had a complete change in our computer systems, and we had to go in on a Sunday to learn it before Monday morning. She knew that I didn\'t like change in general, so she thought that I would quit. I don\'t know what year that was, but she admitted to me later that she was really surprised that I stuck it out. I just retired from Chase at the end of 2023 after 28 1/2 years, and I believe that it was her patience and encouragement that helped me endure. I will never forget her! I will always admire the example she set!
