Judith "Judy" Lynn Gray Johnson, age 79, of Worthington, passed away surrounded by her family on March 9, 2023, after a long battle with COPD. She was born to Edward and Dorothy Gray in Washington, D.C. on March 3, 1944, and grew up in Champaign, IL. Judy graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a master's degree in education and was a member of Sigma Kappa. She retired from Westerville City Schools and was dedicated to teaching special education.
Judy was a thoughtful, generous, and hilariously fun person. She will be remembered for her contagious sense of humor. She always cared for the people and things around her, including all animals, birds, children, and plants. Judy loved adventure and enjoyed traveling, shopping, and dining out with dear friends.
Judy is survived by her greatest source of joy, her family, including her former husband, Wayne Johnson; children, Jennifer (Ryan) Lawrence, Andrew (Stephanie) Johnson, and four grandchildren, (Abigail, Alyssa, Weston, Daphne).
The family will host a celebration of life on June 17, 2023, in Powell, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memoriam to American Lung Association https://www.lung.org/.

I worked with Judy for several years and we met for lunch with a fun group after retirement. Judy always was a bright shining star and uplifted others. She brought laughter in stressful moments. I will miss her.
