Judith Carolyn Strider

Judith Carolyn Strider, age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep and into the waiting arms of her Savior Jesus, at the Avalon of Lewis Center in Lewis Center. Ohio on Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by husband Jerry Lee Strider, Sr., parents Cora and August Starr, sister Karen Wilson and nephew David Ekwall. She is survived by her children Jackie (Jon) Dowdy, Laura James, Jerry Lee Strider, Jr (Molly); grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Teisha, Denae and Axel; niece Robin (Eric) Donohoe, nephews Mark (Angel) Ekwall and Michael Fleming; and great nieces and nephews.

Judith was born in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up attending Linden Church of Christ and loved being part of the choir. Her faith was very important to her and out of her love for God she served many neighbors and spent years working in church ministries. She graduated from Linden McKinley High School, and then devoted her life to her family. Later she worked at the State of Ohio Bureau of Disability Determinations, and retired in 2005 with over 20 years of service. Among her passions in life were their standard poodle Bear, gardening and birds, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Friends may call at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081, Monday March 25, 2024. Visitation from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, with a celebration of Judys life directly following. Internment at Marlborough Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio.
