Joseph Steven Hall passed away on Sunday, June 28th, 2026. He was born July 9th, 1978 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Steven Hall and Brenda Sue Eckard. He married Chanie on May 3rd, 2002 in Vegas, and she survives in Richwood.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Chloe and Lauren Hall; 1 sister, Elanda (Vombaur) Evans and Bryden; 1 brother, GJ Vombaur and Sam; 1 sister-in-law, Allison & Brian Kentosh; 2 brothers-in-law, Neal (Jeanie) and Todd (Colleen) Rinehart; and special friends, Mike, Bob, Carmen and DD, and Tater.
Joe attended church at the Fulton Creek Friends Church in Richwood.
Joe described himself as a jack of all trades but master of none. He could be anything he wanted to be, but he was most proud to be the father. He loved his girls, his Harley, and his dog. Joe always drank black coffee in the morning and his special treat was coffee ice cream.
Joe always welcomed his daughters’ friends into his home, and specifically invested into young men. He wasn’t trying to be their dad, but he left a few better men behind. He enjoyed ‘Claibourne Township Meetings,’ the Richwood Independent Fair, cows, soccer games, camping, and was always having a good time. More than anything, Joe loved to sit and talk about life. He had so much wisdom to share and always had a piece of ‘dad-vice’ for any situation.
Visitation will be held Friday July 3rd from 12 - 1 pm at Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home 49 West Church Street, Centerburg, Ohio where a service will follow at 1 pm, with Pastor Art Minehan officiating. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held the evening of Friday, July 3rd at the Hall family residence.

I am truly sorry for the loss of such a caring, loving, family man. Joe was always lending an ear and great conversation. He made everyone feel cared for and will be greatly missed. I know the girls and all of their sports, activities, future aspirations were part of him always and deeply. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
