Dr. Jon Clark Pensyl, DDS, age 81 of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away at Kobacker House on Saturday, May 28, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Dorothy Pensyl, and his brother, J. Dick Pensyl. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959 and was awarded the Expert Infantryman’s Badge amd the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He earned his BS in Economics at the Univerity of Cincinnati and later received his D.D.S. from The Ohio State University, where he also instructed at the College of Dentistry. His love of dentistry included over 30 years of practice in the heart of Worthington, where he also resided for many years. Jon was very active in his community, serving as President of La Leche League for several years and participating as a life-long member of Central College Presbyterian Church, where he ministered as a deacon and performed in the choir. Jon is survived by his children; Elizabeth (Bill) Cosgrove, Jon (Stephanie) Pensyl, Jane (Keith) Kufrin, Kathy (Robert) Caplan and 12 grandchildren of which he was very proud, including Ryan, Benjamin, Molly, Emilie and Eva Baird; Alex and am Pensyl; Kyle and Halle Kufrin; Drew, Anna and Corbin Caplan; as well as many more nephews, nieces, cousins and countless loving friends. The family will receive frineds at the Central College Presbyterian Church at 975 S. Sunbury Rd, Westerville, OH 43081 on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. with a service immediately following. Arrangements by the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central College Church.
