ECHENRODE
John Robert “Bob” Echenrode, age 93, of Westerville, passed away July 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Owner of Echenrode Furniture Store retiring in 1997. Bob enjoyed bowling, golf, Euchre Club and all sports. Graduate University of Notre Dame. U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Jill; children, Ann Childress, Susan Echenrode, Audry (David) McDonald, John (Suzy) Echenrode, Nance (Tom) Schooley, Molly Wood, Marcy (Tim) Flaherty, Ellen Echenrode, Robert (Judy) Echenrode, Tess Moore, Joseph (Allison) Echenrode and Sean (Emily) Music; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Hutson and Eleanor White; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday, July 28, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1550 Old Henderson Road, Suite N160, Columbus, OH 43220 or American Heart Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Echenrode. My dad (Paul Bailey) enjoyed working at Echenrode’s. He loved working for Mr.Echenrode.

Jill and Family — Joe and I were so saddened to learn about Bob’s death. He was a very special person in my life — a fair and caring boss, and a treasured friend. It was my privilege to work for Bob and John at Echenrode Furniture Co. I have so many good memories of Bob and my co-workers. Please know that Bob and his wonderful family are in our prayers.
