It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Dubis, 82, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left this world to his eternal rest on May 18, 2025. John was born on May 2, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY to John and Palma (Albarano) Dubis and throughout his life brought warmth and love to everyone who knew him.
John graduated from Middletown High School in 1962. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and served until honorably discharged in 1966. John married Majel (Gooding) Dubis on October 3, 1964, at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Canal Winchester, Ohio and they went on to celebrate 60 wonderful years together. John was employed at Pitney Bowes as a service technician before starting his own business, Mailer's Equipment Company, in 1977 where he worked until his retirement in 2005.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Grace (Dubis) Sibirtzeff, loving wife of 60 years, Majel; daughter, Angela (Stephen) Bohn, and grandson Hayden. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Palma Dubis, and sister, Josephine.
John will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kindness, sense of humor, and love of the Buckeyes. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, but we are comforted in the knowledge that he is now at peace.
