John Gregory Corby, age 61 of Grandview Heights passed away peacefully with his family by his side January 20, 2018 due to complications from the flu. He was born in Nelsonville, Ohio on March 26,1956 to John Michael and Betty Corby. John was a graduate of Logan High School where he was a star athlete and The Ohio State University where he played catcher on the baseball team. “Corby” was a fixture on the radio in Columbus for more than 30 years with most of those years at WTVN. Most important John was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother and son. John is survived by his wife and partner in crime Jodi, his “Baby” Alexis, his parents who he loved more than anything, his best friend and sister Kathy Holloway (Tom), his niece Amanda Holloway- Verrill (Doug) and his nephew Joshua Holloway. John loved southeastern Ohio spending most weekends at his beloved “ranch”. There will be a private family service at a later date.
