Jerry Lee Strider, Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio, while surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents Burton K. and Donna Mae Strider, brothers Kenneth Strider and Thomas Harbaugh, and infant granddaughter Emily. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Judith C. Strider; children Jerry Lee Strider, Jr. (Molly), Jackie (Jon) Dowdy, and Laura James; grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Teisha, Denae, and Axel, and many loving nieces and nephews. Jerry was born in Delaware, Ohio and grew up nearby in Galena, Ohio. After graduation from Big Walnut High School, Jerry began his career as Manager of several Stop-N-Go, Dairy Mart and United Dairy Farmers convenience stores. Among his passions in life was Judy & Jerry's beloved standard poodle Bear, Ohio State University sports, motorcycle trips with Judy, travel, and spending time with family and friends. Jerry accepted Christ as his Savior in the late 1980's and followed Him the rest of his life. Friends may call at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081, Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon with a celebration of Jerry's life directly following. Internment at Marlborough Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio.
