PASTOR


Jeannette P. Pastor passed away on August 12, 2011 at her home in Genoa Township with her devoted husband and family by her side. She was 81 years old. Jeannette was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 21, 1929 and grew up in Athens, Ohio. After two years at Ohio State, Jeannette launched out into the world of children and politics. She was blessed with and survived by three children, Dana Parham of Boca Raton, Florida, Wesley Pastor of Essex Junction, Vermont, and Laurie Murnane of Fort Walton Beach, FLorida, along with ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Jeannette also had a long and successful career with the State of Ohio Legislature, the City of Columbus City Attorney’s Office and the Ohio AFL-CIO. Those who worked with her will remember her intelligence, administrative savvy, strong work ethic and indomitable will. Later in life, Jeannette confessed the Lord Jesus Christ and sat for decades under the preaching of Jim Custer at Grace Church in Worthington. Following retirement, Jeannette took great pleasure in flea marketing, her dogs, and her grandchildren, who loved her very much. Jeannette was faithfully and tenderly cared for and is survived by her husband of 25 years, William M. Loop, Jr. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Sue Pastor. Flowers may be sent to Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081, where visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening August 17, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 State Rte. 37 E, Delaware, 43015.
