Jamie Shaver-Mayberry, age 42, “Answered a call to heaven after 10 years worth of victories over ovarian cancer” Survived by husband, Jason; daughter, Riley; parents, Richard and Carol; sisters, Lisa, Teri and Sharon; brothers in law, Robert and Todd; nieces, Morgan and Isabella; nephews, Hunter, Gunnar and Carlo. A Graduate of Westerville North in 1992 and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996. A 16 year Account Executive for Careworks of Ohio. A dedicated supporter of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio, Linebarger Cancer Research Center in Chapel Hill and The Ohio State University James Cancer Research Center. A four year player and Captain of the University of North Carolina Softball Team 1993-96 where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. A lifelong member of Church of the Messiah United Methodist Church in Westerville. Loved by all who knew her for her kindness, honesty, infectious energy, beautiful blue eyes and big smile. Jamie loved her Tarheels and Buckeyes, coaching softball, working out, binge shopping, attending any type of party or tailgate ( especially when dancing was involved). Also loved Sundays at Church, especially when Riley sang, and most of all spending time with her family, especially during family summer vacations at the beach. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 am-1 pm and 2-4 pm at Church of the Messiah United Methodist 51 N. State Street, Westerville where a service will follow at 4:30 p.m.. Rev. Jim Wilson and Rev. Kathy Currier officiating. A reception to follow at church. Private interment Wednesday morning. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.
