James A. “Jim” Shultz

James A. "Jim" Shultz, age 85, of Westerville, OH passed away at home surrounded by his family Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Retired pharmacist. Graduated from Urbana High School class of 1956 and The Ohio State University class of 1961where he played on the 1957 National Championship football team. He remained a steadfast Buckeye fan. He was a member of the Swiss Club and singer in the Helvetia Maennerchor. He was also a member of the Meigs 9 Hunting and Fishing Club. Jim loved playing golf, gardening, watching sports and spending time outdoors. He especially loved being with his family. Preceded in death by parents, John and Naomi Shultz; brother, Dr. John P. Shultz; sister-in- law, Betty Shultz; sister, Nancy Ginn and brother-in-law, Hugh Ginn. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Shultz; daughter, Krista Sylvester; grandchildren, Ryan Strawser, Jacob (Caitlyn) Strawser, Evan Sylvester and Delaney Sylvester; great-grandchildren, Raeleigh and Theodore "James"; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel North 5325 Smothers Road, Westerville, OH 43081.
