With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jackie (Jack) Hubbard, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world peacefully on May 16, 2025. Jack was born on December 24, 1943 - a Christmas Eve gift to the world - and throughout his life, he brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him.

Jack was a man who embraced life fully. He found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether it was hunting in the woods, fishing by the water's edge, or watching the thrill of horse racing. He had a deep love for sports, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than settling in to watch a game on TV, cheering with passion and a sharp eye for every play.

Jack's heart belonged to his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Brenda. Together, they built a life filled with love, memories, and strong family ties. He was the father of Steve (Terrie) Hubbard, Joey (Brandi) Hubbard, and Jeff Matthews. He carried in his heart the memory of his beloved son, Shane Hubbard, who preceded him in death and is now reunited with his father in peace. He is also preceded in death by his parents Joe (Pop) and Susie Hubbard, and 4 siblings: Crystal Hubbard, Emily Friece, Phyllis Sparks, and Jean Hubbard.

Jack was a devoted brother to Rhonda Davidson and a loving and involved grandfather to Colton, Mackenzie, Karaline, and Jojo. His grandkids were the light of his life whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his deep sense of loyalty, and his unwavering love for those close to him. Jack lived a full and meaningful life, marked by simple joys, enduring values, and an unbreakable spirit.

Our family will miss him more than words can express, but we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

Rest easy, Jack. We will love you always.

A visitation will take place at Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church Street, Centerburg on Wednesday May 21, 2025, from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. with a funeral service starting at 1 P.M. Interment Bloomfield Cemetery.
