My father Bob Morris is a 1st cousin 5x removed of Isabel and her siblings, sharing the Purdue lineage, and grew up at 27 East Home Street on the alley, across the street from the Miller home. As a boy Dad and his parents Marion and Mary attended the Maxtown reunions (his paternal grandfather Uley’s farm was along the Big Walnut), at which the Miller and Bevelhymer families were always well represented. Dad’s late wife, my mother R. Julia “Judy”, was a Westerville elementary school teacher for 27 years, and quite possibly may have had some of Isabel’s nieces and/or nephews in her classroom. As a young boy myself, Dad’s mother, my grandmother, would sometimes walk me down to visit Isabel’s mother Edith, whom I adored, and I remember Isabel’s dog (Buffy?) would occasionally be there. A couple of years ago Dad and I (Isabel’s 2nd cousin 4x removed) made an appointment and enjoyed a short visit with Isabel at Knightsbridge to exchange memories as well as genealogical information. We are very sorry for your loss.

I was a student in many of Miss Miller’s classes. I enjoyed her enthusiasm and appreciated her knowledge. The last time I saw her she had just gotten a puppy and was so happy to have it in her life. She made an important difference in many of our lives and she will truly be missed.

From the Marjorie (Marty) Miller family, members at North Broadway Church, church choir. We mowed Isabel’s lawn as kids. Marty and Isabel were friends and sat in the same pew at church for many years. We send love and prayers!
