Irvel R. Gardner, 86, of Columbus, passed away Sunday October 2, 2011 at Manor Care Westerville. Retired Dispatcher from Union Depot and The Ohio State University Medical Center. Member of Capital City Lodge # 656 F & AM, York Chapter # 200 Royal Arch Masons, York Council #115 Royal & Select Masters and Columbus Commandery #69 Knights Templar. Preceded in death by wife Ann and Step-son John Street; parents, Leslie & Dora Gardner brothers George and Nelson and sister, Maude Garner. Survived by children, James (Ami) Gardner of Columbus and daughter Gail (John) Austn of Baltimore, OH. grandchildren, Rene (Paul) Fields of Lancaster, OH and John (Holly) Austin, Jr. of Pickerington, OH. 4 great grandchildren. sister Zola Peck of Canal Winchester, OH. Numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service and burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday October 7, 2011 at Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville, Ohio.
