Hugh D. Mann, age 79, of Westerville,OH passed away July 1, 2017 at home. Retired from Oberfields. He enjoyed a very active retirement including his membership in CONA, gardening- particularly his orchids, playing cards, dining with friends and family, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Survived by his children, Kathie (Kareem) Ashur of Dayton, Edward (Anne) Mann of Columbus and Heather Mann of Worthington; grandchildren and great-granddaughter; sister, Charlotte Richey; sister-in-law, Marjorie Mann; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Shan; parents, Arthur and Ora Mann; sister, Cloanna Garrabrant; brothers, AC Mann and Charles Baldwin. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 4-8 p.m. where service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m.. Interment Fancher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to an animal charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear about Hugh’s passing. I went to HS with him. He seemed so good and happy at the last MCL dinner. Again, God bless all of his family. He is in a better place and will not suffer anymore.

Hugh was always a pleasure to be around, a kind person with a positive outlook in spite of his serious health issues. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
