Helen P. Day, age 92, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, formerly of Centerburg, Ohio passed away Monday November 1, 2010 at Woodside Care Center in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.
She was born on April 23, 1918 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Dailey & Bessie Morrison. On March 13, 1936 in Mt. Liberty, Ohio she married Harry G. Day and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1997. They, together owned and operated Day’s Hardware in Centerburg, Ohio. She is suvived by children, Robert (Rosa) Day of Hurst, Texas, Kathryn Marie Day Doran of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Garry (Patsy) Day of Raleigh, North Carolina. 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Sister, Janet O’Conner of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and brothers Johnny and Roger Morrison of Fredericktown, Ohio. Preceded in death by sisters, Jean Ann Williams and Marvel Lepley. Brothers, Robert, Forrest, Dave and Kenny Morrison. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday November 3, 2010 at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 49 West Church Street Centerburg, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Interment Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg, OH.
