Gwen Wheeler gained her wings and met her Heavenly Father, Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born Saturday, February, 28, 1953, in Columbus, the daughter of the late John and Hope (Compton) Mullins.
She is survived by her devoted and beloved husband of 32 years, Jim Wheeler. Her children, Linette (Karl) Winfield, John Williams, Shane (April) Wheeler, Shawn (Brittany) Wheeler; grandchildren, Travis Meeks, Jordan Wheeler, Devyn Wheeler and Gabbi Wagner; her sister, Kay Coakley, and Many friends and other loved ones.
Gwen retired as a lead accounting technician from DFAS CO after 26.5 years of federal service. She shared many laughs and made wonderful memories with her Recon family and dear friends.
She was a faithful child of God and shared her faith with others spreading His love light. She is now at peace with her best friend Jesus and many other loved ones in heaven. May we always remember her generosity, beautiful smile and infectious laugh.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at the funeral home with Tami Oldaker officiating. Burial will conclude in the Blendon Central Cemetery.
