Goldie Marie (Kent) Sparks, born August 2, 1925 to the late Robert Kent and Mable K. Ute, passed away Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Kindred Nursing Home in Marion, OH. Preceded in death by 1st husband Robert Heagren and 2nd husband Bert Sparks; daughters, Barbara Ann Rhiel and Betty Jean VanHouten. Survived by son William Egerland of Midland, Arkansas. daughter, Rita Coffman of Cocoa, FL. Step-son, Charles Sparks of Columbus, OH and step-daughter, Vickie Sparks of Marengo, OH. 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. sister, Grace Clifford of Winamac, IN and brother, Ivan (Betty) Kent of Utica, OH. Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday October 18, 2013 at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 49 West Church Street Centerburg with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Frank O’Bryan officiating. Interment Moundview Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, OH.
