TERFLINGER (ELSWICK)
Gladys A. Terflinger (Elswick) Gladys was born June 2, 1929 and died peacefully July 24, 2016 at Sunrise Senior Living in Worthington, Ohio. Glady, as she preferred, grew up in Pikeville, Kentucky. She attended Pikeville High School, Pikeville College, and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Education degree. She taught in Colorado and Florida before teaching first grade at the Glenmont School in the Columbus School System. She is survived by her loving family, husband Leland, daughter Diane Stresing (David), grandchildren Dawn and Will, sister Ruth Mehaffey, brother Thomas Elswick and many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, her ashes will be scattered according to her wishes. Although she did not want a formal funeral service, memorial gatherings will be held at a later date in Lexington, KY and Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a favorite charity. The family would like to thank everyone, staff and residents, at Sunrise Senior Living in Worthington and all the members of Heartland Hospice for their love and care over the last few years and especially the last few weeks.
