George W. Roloson, 86, of Marengo, passed away November 21st at Otterbein Senior Living of New Albany. He was married to Jayne Fisher Roloson for 46 years, who preceded him in death. George retired from AT& T (Nokia). He also previously served as a custodian and groundskeeper at the Bennington Township Cemetery. Member of Central College Presbyterian Church. George served as the Past Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Royal Select Masons, where he attained the prestigious status of 33rd degree Mason. He was also a faithful member of the Worthington Chapter 287 of Eastern Star, where he was Past Worthy Patron. His affiliations also included York Rite and Knights Templar of Mt. Vernon. George and Jayne enjoyed many years camping and travelling in their motor home. They valued their time spent surrounded by family and friends. Survived by his sisters, Alice Nodes of San Diego, Jean (Mike) Brenon of Columbus, Esther Messerknecht of Lancaster; his sister-in-law, Thelma Standley of Marengo; special niece, Carol (Gary) House of Marengo; nephews, Ralph Standley of Powell, Larry (Barb) Standley of Cardington; niece, Ann Standley of Dublin; daughters, Altha (George) Brooks of VanWert, Martha Roloson of Reynoldsburg; granddaughters, Lyndsay (Dr. Doug) Pepple of Seattle, WA and Amanda Brooks of Charleston, SC; great-granddaughter, Emily Pepple; and a host of other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Bessie Roloson, his siblings Bob (MaryLou) Roloson and Joan Differt, his brother-in-law Ralph W. Standley Jr., and his stepson, Raymond McManus. A special thank you for the loving care provided by Candy, Amber and Cindy and the staff at Otterbein Senior Living of New Albany. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road in Westerville on Sunday beginning at 12:30 pm. A masonic Service will be held at 2:00 pm. Rev. Malcolm Davis will officiate the memorial service at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures), or Central College Presbyterian Church.

So sorry this happened at Thanksgiving time, my mom died on Thanksgiving day. But they are having a glorious feast up there.
