Tom Hilliker - Jan 1, 2024

I had the pleasure of reporting to George during my time at Huntington National Bank. He was an engaging person and I considered him a friend. Sadly we lost touch over the years but I want to extend my condolences to his family. Your father was a special person and I am sorry I am late in providing my comments. Rest in peace dear friend.

"Grief is the price we pay for love." Elizabeth II In loving memory of our cousin, George P. Mackninaw.

Nick (Cousin Nicky) - Aug 15, 2023

George (aka "GP" and "Capitan" was my older cousin. He was a model of a Catholic Christian gentleman. I ate at his table several times when he lived in California where I listened to his wonderful stories of the village we were raised in: the mine rats in the smokehouse; Dida (Grandpa) and the mad pig; tales of our Baba (Grandma); tales of our crazy barber. He had the gift of telling the most harrowing tales and making you laugh! He was so devoted to his wife! He loved his sister! Never once did I talk with him did he not mention Barbie and Brandon and "Little Paul" and Jennifer and Madison and Mackenzie and Sabrina and Sebastian and what was going on in their world. What a blessing to be his kin!

George was not only my "boss", he was my friend. He was there during the important event of my life outside work, too. He will be missed but I know he will be happy to be reunited with Jenny, who he loved will all his heart.

Dear Barb and family, I am so sorry for this sudden loss. George was a good friend, and my Saturday 4:00pm Mass buddy. I will miss this kind soul, and his absolutely "on spot" dry humor. I' m sure he was met in heaven by Jenny, and his soul is at peace.
