I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Hyrmer. As a student, I was profoundly influenced by his dedication, wisdom, and kindness. He played a pivotal role in setting the direction for my career in technology, inspiring me to pursue my dreams and equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to succeed. Mr. Hyrmer was more than just a teacher; he was a mentor and a guide. Please accept my heartfelt, belated condolences. May you find comfort in the cherished memories and the legacy of knowledge and compassion that George leaves behind.

I can only echo the message of condolence by Julie Miller. He was one of those teachers who was a wonderful, humble example of gracious generosity in sharing, but not imposing good teaching practices. As a four-year young teacher, the thirteen years I spent at Westerville (South), being exposed to teachers like George, was the core of my teacher training. I am glad I was able to attend some of the teacher alum lunches at Polaris Grill and thank him specifically for the advice he gave me as my first summer school principal in 1976 when he said "save the rule." I remembered that vividly when eventually assuming that same role. George graciously shared his quiet, but helpful wisdom. He will be m issed.

George was one of the "seasoned" teachers when I started my career at South. I loved the twinkle in his eyes, his great smile and that little chuckle. To watch his brain at work to solve some dilemma was truly a wonder to behold. What a good friend and mentor. I will miss him.

George was Math Department Chair at South when I started teaching. He was a dedicated professional who had a wonderful laugh and positive attitude. He will be missed.
