Genevieve Pearl Gehm of Columbus passed away January 28, 2024 at O.S.U. Wexner Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, June 8, 1946. The daughter of Joseph and Theresa Serafin Ruminski. A graduate of St. Clairsville High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Ohio University and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Dayton. She taught for 35 years, starting at Fairpoint Elementary in Belmont County, and completing more than 30 years at Sedalia Elementary in the Groveport Madison Local School District. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edgar Gehm; sister, Wanda (Edward) Nime of Cincinnati; brothers, Henry (Janey) Ruminski of Beavercreek, and Marion Ruminski of St. Clairsville; nieces, Jennifer Nime (Joe) Palumbo; and their children Anna & John, Nicole Nime (Johann) Bazzali, and daughter Zoe; Jan Marie Ruminski (JD) Bales, and children Henry & Sophia. Nephew, Ted Nime and his children Abigail and Allison. Also, Melissa (Brad) Welch and their children Katie, Reagan and Jack. Friends may call Monday, February 5, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Cal Alexander officiating. Interment at Blendon Cemetery.

We remember Aunt Pearl as a dedicated teacher, thoughtful, kind, and generous. She had a tireless energy that we all admired. Over the last two decades we lived in London and Singapore and wish we could have spent more time with her. Uncle Ed, we are sorry for your loss of and are thinking of you during this difficult time.
