Gene C. Kellett, age 82, of Mt. Vernon, OH, formerly of New Albany, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at home. Retired from Wilson Floors and Plain Township. Member of Plain Township Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years and Gahanna Senior Center. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean; children, Steve Kellett of IL, Jerry Lee (Janie) Kellett of OR and Tammy Mullins of Columbus; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don (Bobbie) Kellett of Newark and Herb (Bertha) Kellett of New Albany; aunt Dorothy Kellett; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Rev. Maurice Martindale, officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
